Well, I'm reading a book called THE EYE OF HORUS. The author is CAROL THURSTON. I haven't gotten that far into it, but so far it's about a young woman that was found mummifed in the original egyptian fashion -- but she has a male head between her legs. The story often goes between the present -- people attempting to find out who she is and why she was buried the way she was -- to the past to the girl's life and to a doctor telling it. As I said, not that far into it.
Although, I just finished a book called ONE WITH THE NIGHT by SUSAN SQUIRES. It's a vampire novel <3 which I absolutely adore but it is a romance novel -- God help me, but they are my weakness. I love vampire books with a passion -- the twilight series was okay but the movie sucked ;-; way to high school drama for my taste XD
But any way, a woman has accidently been infected with something called the COMPANION -- and this is what has made her a vampire. Her father is trying to create a cure to fix her -- but older vampires do not want the cure to exist. So, they come after her and her father. A man, who is seeking the cure comes and defends them -- he stays on the grounds of being able to protect them and to test the potions. Blah, but he soon falls in love with the girl and so on and so on. But, it has quite a bit of twists and turns that kept me reading until i couldn't read it anymore XD
So yea, that's what i've read lately XD
BUT!
I adore stephen king books -- anyone else?

I just finished : Teasing Secrets From the Dead by Emily Craig. She's a real life forensic pathologist and she's worked some of our biggest crime scenes.. Waco, the Oklamhoma City bombings and September 11th. Click here for a synopsis of the book. Up next is Black Dahlia Avenger a book about the Black Dahlia murder in LA in the 1940's..written by the son of one of the police's prime suspects. Click here for a synopsis.

Actually Anna, what you're reading sounds interesting. I actually live an hour or so from where the Oklahoma City bombing occured. My mom has gotten me to watch those crime shows on T.V, I can't help myself. I love a good mystery book too.

One of my favorite books is called Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn Here is the summary (on the back of the book cuz im lazy) We’re the D’Artigo sisters: Half-human, half-Faerie, we’re savvy – and sexy – operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But our mixed-blood heritage short-circuits our talents at all the wrong times. My sister Camille is a wicked–good witch whose magic is as unpredictable as the weather. My sister Menolly is a vampire trying to get the hang of being undead.
And me? I’m Delilah. When I’m under stress, I transform into a tabby cat – and a series of violent murders is really getting me bent out of shape. Someone's been slaughtering the Weres of the Rainier Puma Pride, and my sisters and I have been enlisted to investigate by Zachary Lyonnesse, golden boy of the werepumas.
Right away we smelled demon trouble, and we tracked it directly into the snare of the Hunters Moon Clan, sworn enemies of Puma Pride. But there's more than Were rivalry at work. It's that old demon Shadow Wing who is setting a deadly snare for the pumas. We have to find out why, which means a visit one to of the Immortals. Unfortunately, for my sisters and me, our half-human blood is just enough to put us in mortal danger.

Has been reading: Animals in Translation By Temple Grandin (Ish an amazing book on the similiarities in the way animals and autistic people think, written by a highly educated Autistic woman, who is in charge of monitering Slaughter houses for humanity)
Also:
The Darkest Evening of the Year Cant remember the auther (is a good book that involves, retrievers.... paranormal activity, mutant children, and a psycopath killer couple, If I tell you more than that, Id ruin it) If you like mistery, youll like it

Oh dear. I have about four books open at the moment, one I have already read and three I have not. They are:
i. The Claidi Collection by Tanith Lee ii. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult iii. The Outcast of Redwall by Brian Jacques iv. Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger
I'm really enjoying them all, heehee. OH, and also, I recently finished reading Twilight for the first time. I started out reading it just so I would be able to properly criticise it, but I ended up liking it very much. Though, in my opinion, it's one of those too-good-to-be-true fantasies that is thoroughly depressing. lol

I've been reading Catcher in the Rye, as it's our studied text for GCSE, and I am now in the state of thoroughly loathing it. I suppose, if I hadn't studied it to death, I would think it an alright book, but I prefer the books to have a half-decent plotline and I felt that Catcher in the Rye was too much of Salinger doing a big long whinge about society. What I like are the books that are social commentaries but also have a decent plot and are written well.
Other than that and completing the Twilight series, I don't really have a current reading book as I write more often than I read; I did, however, get halfway into Guantanamo Boy by Anna Perera and I found it thoroughly gripping. I really need to keep reading that one, I can't wait for the ending!

Okay I am a complete sucker for romance novels ;D especially paranormal/supernatural, most of the time if it doesn't have romance or P/S then I don't read it. [an exception can be made for horse books] Currently I am reading Howl at the Moon - Christine Warren. I love all her books! they are just such a good read, I can read each book in a day. But really I am desperate for Destined for an early Grave - Jeanine Frost, but it doesn't come out until the end of July

I've been reading Merrick by Anne Rice bit by bit and just read the play The Crucible. I highly recommend Anne Rice, especially her witches series, which I think is better than the vampire series.

I <3 Anne Rice! I just finished the third book in the Lives of the Mayfair Witches series, Taltos. It was wonderful, as all of her stuff invariably is.

recently i've just gotten a huge collection of Dean Koontz books so i've been reading those. I just finished one called "Odd Thomas". My most favorite book from Dean Koontz was probably "Shadowfires". I just loved that book for some reason. i also love the Twilight series. I own all four books. I read all of them in one or two days. =x

I'm reading Betrayed, the second book in the House of Night series. It's great, I've nearly read the whole thing in a few days.
