Yeah, I know what you mean about standing in line. Stood in a line that went all the way around the building. They ended up running out before I even got close to the inside of the store, so I left and went to a grocery store of all places and got the book in less than 10 minutes. Woo! ^_^

Woah, I havent posted here before! >.< I liked Twilight (the first book) okay enough, the others.. not so much. XD I had to read To Kill A Mockingbird in 9th grade, Lol.
My favorite book of all time which I'm basically always constantly reading is called Brightly Burning by Mercedes Lackey.
I love her Valdemar series, every single one of them. I mean, it's a world where there are these group of people called Heralds and you become a Herald by having a 'Companion' which is like a horse yet with like special powers, kind of hard to explain, but yes, you become a Herald by having one of these Companions 'choosing' you and when they choose you it creates this bond like mentally, physically, everything that is deeper than marriage and everything. And some of these Heralds have the gift of mind-speech (there are LOTS of other gifts as well) and they can actually like communicate with their Companion and it is so awesome. In Brightly Burning, Lav, the mainly main guy becomes a Herald and his Companion, Kalira, is so sweet and they actually have a 'life-bond' which is like deeper than the Companion bond so not only do they have that but they are life-bonded and it's so sweet because like they basically love each other. *sigh* love it. :) A review I found on amazon.com for anyone interested. :P

And I just finished New Moon, and am about halfway through with Eclipse. I had to go to THREE different stores in another town just to find those two books >< I managed to get one at the bookstore and they didn't have the other..neither did the next bookstore we went to..and the I finally found the other at Wal-Mart.

Sango, I will definitely have to check out that series/book. It sounds very cool and just the type of thing I enjoy reading.

Mmm.. I just finished Tales of Watership Down after reading the original Watership Down for the umpteenth time. Sexy, sexy books. AND IT'S ABOUT RABBITS! Mean rabbits. That get killed by humans. And kill each other.
So sad. T.T

I'm kinda rereading Darkfall by Dean Koontz, but I'm skipping bits and probably am not gonna finish it... it's just to tide me over until I get something fresh to read. Frickin' scary, that book <.< But I just finished Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel. Now THAT was a great book. I didn't want it to end, because it felt like it could go on forever. It's such a large book, and it had the feel that the author wrote it without a thought to length constraints, just let the creativity flow until it came to a natural stop. It takes place in England, early 1800's, in an alternate reality where magic exists but has been lost over time since England's northern King, John Uskglass, or "The Raven King", disappeared. It's written in a very old style and like it's historical fact, so you find yourself almost believing that there's people who study theoretical magic and magical history, and that somewhere down "The King's Roads" lies the land of Faerie. What got me was the hundreds of footnotes, mentioning books and people that have never really existed and you'll never hear of again. The amount of detail and effort put into this book is AMAZING. I can't recommend reading this enough. Go. Buy it. Lol I didn't have to wait long in line to get Deathly Hallows I had just watched the latest movie in theaters and as we were driving home I thought "Is today the day the book comes out? Surely not" So we dropped by to check and sure enough there were people outside in wizard robes xD Someone had a sorting hat and was sorting people -I got sorted into Slytherin, toward which I detected a distinct bias- someone had a pet rat on their shoulder but was told they couldn't have it in the store, and when it came time to make a line, and turned midnight, everything moved very fast. I was out in minutes. Of course, the line did extend a bit into the parking lot, but I'm sure everyone got a copy.

Twiiliiiiiiiiie! The Darkest Evening of the Year was alright, but not my fave by far. I'd recommend Odd Thomas or Life Expectancy if you like quirky, The Taking if you like scary, and From the Corner of His Eye if you like religious significance.

I really want to read Tales of Watership Down xD but I've never bothered to go out and find it. I did read Watership Down years ago, though ^_^
And I'm proud to say that I liked and read Twilight before it was so popular. I don't like it as much now that everyone is always talking about it.
Anyways....
Right now I am reading Hamlet, but I have no choice in that. Technically we are done reading it, but I decided to skip out on act 5.
My mom is letting me borrow a book called Prisoners of Hope, which is a true story about two women who went to help out in Afghanistan and ended up getting imprisoned sometime around the September 11th attack on the World Trade Centers. It's a good book so far, though I only just started reading it during PACE2 this morning.
I finished A Thousand Splended Suns just yesterday, which is a book written by Khaled Hosseini about the plight of women in Afghanistan during the wars before the Tailban took over, and then during the rule of the Taliban. It's a really sad story, but I would recommend it to everyone who asked about it. I read the author's other book, The Kite Runner, for AP English early this year. It was one of the best and saddest books that i had ever read, and I would also suggest that to everyone who would ask.
Yeah. I also just finished reading Fahrenheit 451 for school. I think it was a good book, but I've had people tell me that it sucks. I dunno. I like to philosophize and think and stuff, so books like these are good for me. -shrugs.

I am reading The Stranger Beside Me by Anne Rule. It's about Ted Bundy.. Anne Rule actually worked with him at a crisis center while he was killing and kept in touch with him while he was incarcerated. It's scary to think that the person beside you at work could be one of the most prolific serial killers in your time.

Phantom of the Opera and The Time Machine are awesome. I also love the Bartimaeus Trilogy books, and yeah, Harry Potter is great. I've read all of them twice except The Order of the Phoenix and The Deathly Hallows. The Outsiders used to be my favorite book, but I haven't read it in years. I still love it though. And I have a very well-loved copy of Watership Down Lemme see...the last awesome books I've read were The Book Thief, Boy A, Johnny Got His Gun, and I'm reading Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safron Foer right now because I saw the movie and loved it. Has anybody read World War Z? It's supposed to be awesome. People tell me that it is, but it is also about zombies, and I'm not that big into zombies. :/
