I seriously put in a lot of effort in this piece. It's like 1.47am over here and yes, I stayed up to finish it because I'm insane like that. x3 I'm not even sure if imageshack can handle the huge wallpaper image. XO So anyway, she's a lovely kitty but her stock was pretty limited, especially when I had to have all her feet intact for the image concept I had in mind. >< The grass was too thick and it was hard to even try to salvage her paws so they're kind cut off at the bottom. I also extended her tail since part of it was cut off in the photo. I'll explain the symbolism and such in the next paragraph so if you'll be bored by it, just skip to my rules.. ^^"
Firstly, background-hunting was immediately done only with the keyword "bridge". Why? To me, bridges are a form of way for you to get from one side to another and in my opinion, death is nothing but the change of worlds and for Willow to get to the other side, she has to cross a "bridge". Secondly, the halo(Look closer, and you'll spot a butterly who is actually crowning her the halo) represents that she has attained her passport to heaven. [: If you see closely, Willow is sort of translucent with sparkles around her and she's looking back at the foilage behind her. The shrubs and plants behind her represents Nature on Earth which is where her friends and loved ones are. It is to show how unwilling she is to leave but she must do so. The sparkles are kind of an effect when she undergoes the "transformation" to go to the "other side". Thirdly, to me, unlike humans, animals are less complicated, less cunning and pretentious so they deserve to go to heaven or somewhere pleasent when they retire from their life. Thus, there are butterlies and a dragonfly, which are beautiful graceful, acting as escorts. And yes, the light does falls on her to show that she is going to a brighter and better place. ^^ There are quotes flying around at the top, which I found via the Internet. The large words are more of the attraction and since it's going to be a desktop wallpaper, I made sure they are on the right side because I don't want the icons to block it. [; Seriously, if I had some background info on Willow, it'll probably have more symbolism and such. ^^" I probably went a little overboard with my attempt on symbolism. ^^" And I know the cat looks kinda huge. o.o Apologies! I have issues with sizes.
