Ohkay, so this is a tad bit of a rant and then also asking what people's opinions are..
--NOTE! I don't think there is any bad cursing, but watch out, one might have slipped by me.. XD[/u]
So, the rant part: What I hate about RPGs is how freaking serious people actually get about some stuff. Like, really.. it is role-playing.. on the internet.. for which I highly doubt you get paid anything for.. take it easy man!
For instance, one of my pet peeves - affiliates. Why should it really matter if a place is "inactive". Like, my friend has a horse rpg, right? And I'm kind of right now like running it since she literally JUST had her baby and for some reason like nobody is posting. Except me. Which there is only SO MUCH I can do without other people. And so, I had asked to be affiliates with a bunch of other sites, right? And so I was reading earlier, and some sites have been removing our affiliate because we are inactive. Well, how are we freaking supposed to get more activity if we have nowhere for people to find us at! HOW DOES IT HURT TO HAVE A BUTTON UP THERE with the billion of other buttons. I mean, is it really THAT harmful to keep a button up even when the site is inactive. Like, I'm not talking you know going to a site and there is a message 'THIS SITE IS DEAD' or of the likes. I'm talking about going to a site where there has been people on the "Users active in the last 24 hours" and someone has been posting consistently in the c-box just not very many actual RPG posts. Like, really guys?
Ugh, well that is it for now really. Lol. And then the poll question goes along with the little rant.. to see if I've lost my mind or whatever..[/sub]

You never know what site you could find through those links? I don't know how many I have found that way. Plus going through all your affies to find the inactive sites could take so long. That could be time that could be spent on some other thing beneficial to the actual site.
The only thing that will really get to me is moved sites. I personally don't get the moving the site thing very much. I understand if you want to get rid of a certain member that is being a pain or want to do an inactive member clean out, but there are more effective ways to handle that kind of thing. Admins can delete members if they need to. You can ban IPs. Plus when you move sites the adress is different making it harder for people to find you again. I dunno. I guess I just turned this into another mini rant xDDDD

Exactly! I've found quite a few sites that turned out to be really awesome and such that might have been "inactive". I mean everybody has their months or so that they just can't post. For example, this place had gone through a slight dry spell or whatever you would like to call it but it is getting back on it's feet.
Oh yes, and moving sites.. This one RPG that I'm talking about.. we've moved sites once. And that was only because we used to be on MSN Groups and then they shut that down.. -.- Tis quite alright. We can use this thread to rant all we like! >D Lol.

Not, kind of inactive- but probably would if no one had been on it for a year or so- I have a friend who's admin who goes through the affies, and deletes inactive ones- I think she does it because if she kept every single one- there'd be way to many. I agree though... XD That's really dumb.
