A Little Bit About You: My name is Edo- (group: Hiii Edo) Okay, that was creepy.... *ahem* I live in Louisiana and I've been home schooled since 1st grade, so I'm a little socially awkward offline. Online, I can be myself.. I'm a total geek, especially over anime and manga though I try not to annoy people or make my fangirlish-ness too obvious to those who find it distasteful. I'm a hard worker, I live to serve the customers. I believe they deserve our respect and courtesy because without them this studio would be nothing but an pretty looking but empty layout. I've had some bad experiences in the past at a studio involving some honest mistakes on my part, and so I try really hard not to offend anyone or appear confrontational to the point I simply won't risk an argument by saying anything at all. So you really don't have to worry about me stepping out of line and sparking a catfight. Unlike some, I believe the keyboard is a barrier to slips of the tongue or words spoken in haste. I can walk away and think of another way to address something, that's the beauty of it.

I've been moving frequently for the past seven-ish years, in fact we've just moved in to a new place at the beginning of February =) I live with my mom, just us bachelorettes, and my older brother drops by when he can get a break from his classes at UNO, but mostly it's just the two of us, driving each other mad. I have a dog (a doberman) and way too many cats. I've owned horses in the past, but due to moving and my parents' divorce, I've had to give up the ones I had, twice. I've been roleplaying for about six or seven years, on and off. I play at Isilme and Arabian Nights, and am working on an rpg of my own. I've worked on photoshop since I opened my DA account, so I can say I've been a personalizer since August 26, 2006, but the truth is I worked really hard using only MS Paint and some online Kodac image editor for quite a while before that. If I still had those images I could so you how hard I was willing to work with what I had.

Why You Want To Work Here: I'm as picky about my studios as you are about who you hire, I think. I wouldn't work somewhere I wouldn't order for myself.

Your Style: I don't think I've really developed my style, I'm still trying to find it. I do tend to go more for photo-realism rather than blending lots of images together for the oh-so-pretty result some others can do. In short, my pics are generally simple.

Colorizing example This is a wip of trying to turn a dappled gray horse into a white one. This is also my first time really trying to paint a mane.
To run with wild horses I guess this is a good blending example. It required the use of a lot of elements and I think it came together well

Quiz Questions:

1.) Can you use images off of www.flickr.com? If so what’s the proper etiquette to use images from there?
First off, to assure you'll be able to find stock from flickr with some ease, you'll want to use the advanced search. There you'll be able to specify the search range to those under Creative Commons that can be adapted, modified etc. That done, you can search. Once you find a suitable image, check that it's not under the Share-alike license that means whatever you make with it must be released under the same usage terms. In other words: Your pretty manip just became stock, and it's likely whatever other images you use, their stock providers won't be too happy you're re-distributing. Keeping your eye peeled for that, as long as you don't make a profit from your image and you credit the stock provider, you're in the good. If you DO want to make a profit, make sure none of your new flickr stock specifies non-profit.
2.) Are all images from www.DeviantART.com available to a personalizer’s use? Explain why not if you answer no.
Noooooooo! The majority of deviantart images are not to be used for ANYTHING. Some don't even want you saving their art to your hard drive(lol, too bad, now you're my wallpaper =P). To find images for stock, make sure you're searching under the Stock Images category. It has one allll to itself. Even then, everyone's rules are different, and they have to be followed, so make sure you read the descriptions and/or journal of the stock provider to be on the safe side
3.) Will you be able to fill at least 2 orders a month here at Imagine That?
How about... TWO MILLION??? Naw, I should be able to manage two, if my internet doesn't cut out for weeks or something like that <.<

Your work is gorgeous!

In Gnat, the colours and blending are ace. They really give it that 'look', the kinda look I've always wanted.
The lighting in Lisa's Christmas Gift is nice, and the blending with the grass is as well, however, I'd have brought out a couple more strands of the grass, just to make it look a bit more natural.
Your water looks amazing in Cirion! The reflections, the ripples, the colours, it's just beautiful. I absolutely ADORE the way you did the text in it as well! Very creative, a great little skill for personalizers to have.
In Pisces... perhaps a shadow? (haha, as if I'm one to talk!)
Maybe try darkening the sky a little bit in Lilika, to give it a more night-time look. Either that, or lighten up the rest of the image a tad. And bring out a few more, really tall pieces of grass, since the surrounding grass is very long. Otherwise, everything else looks great!
OH. MY. GOD. Shirahime-Syo is just GORGEOUS. The colours look amazing, as do the snow and the blending.
And Oleander looks great for having been done two years ago! The emotions are wonderful, and I just love the expression on that horse.

I'm going to say accepted, now you just need one more moderator to say accepted, and then you will become a personalizer and can start filling orders.

Yes, I noticed I should've brought out the grass more in Lisa's gift, but it's never been a detail motivating enough for me to shake off the laziness and do it xD I was in a hurry to wrap it up, cause it was the night before Christmas and my friend was online and I so wanted to see her see it.
And there IS a shadow in Pisces' pic I just didn't want to make it too strong without the presence of a sun and all.
Ditto on Lilika, the sky should be a tad darker... I was going for the look of when it's not quite twilight, but the moon is out and, well, the stars are never quite THAT present, but heck! I love stars! xD
