Mkay, so I've been maniping 'regularly' for about 3 months now, and have had my program about 5-6 months. So still in training, I suppose ^-^ However, as of late a person asked if I could make her a transparent picture, and have been toying with the idea for a few weeks now. And I'm afraid I've hit a wall... the following image is transparent for some people, but for others it has a colored -a light blue- background. What am I doing wrong? A transparent file for my program (Adobe PhotoShop Elements 4.0; just my beginner's kit 0.o) is only supported by either a .gif or a .png file. I've found .png works much better... any help? (have another picture I can show with just text)
and note; this was done in about half an hour. remembered a picture of one of our calves, & just had to use it. the horse is MY horse, so no copyright infringements... >.> and wow; on such a dark background I can truly see how horrid a job I did of cutting them out. 0.0
Thanks ahead of time ^-^ ` endless [/size][/blockquote]

PNGs are optimum equipment for transparencies. Never use gif unless it moves/animates. Also, in Adobe, somewhere before you save or in preferences, there is a transparency setting.
By default it should be transparent, but some computers/browsers/programs/systems cant handle transparent for a reason of another, so they make it a color. I think right before you save it should ask you somewhere about some complicated transparency setting. Im not really sure about the version of the program you use so...sorry.

Mkay, thanks so much. And yes, there is a complicated setting it asks right before you save that I don't know the answer too.
Again, thanks ^-^ `endless [/sup][/blockquote]

That is actually a very good cutting job. It is not perfect, but for the timeframe, it is really good.
I would spend a bit more time on mane/hair painting though.
Besides that, kudos.
