[ `ABOUT YOU! ]
Name: Akuinnen or Lindsey
Age: 18
Contacts: DeviantART or at lindsey.windfeldt@mnsu.edu
A Little Bit About You: I've been forum roleplaying and staffing proboard sites for about 3 years and have always had a studio open where I roleplay to make free pictures for other roleplayers so that's where most of my photo manipulation experience came from. Programs I've used are Photodraw, Photoshop 8.0, CS2, and now CS3. I love roleplaying horses and I'd really like to see the roleplaying section of this forum grow. Besides photo manipulation and roleplaying, I like drawing, painting, and digital painting. I draw mostly horses and anime, and still life. My favorite activities are watching anime, reading manga, and drawing. If you like anime, I'm always open for conversations about anime and manga!
Why You Want To Work Here: I don't make nearly as many new images as I feel like I should, it would be fun to have a reason to create new works of art and also to help new photo manipulators get a good start by giving them helpful tips and advice.
How You Found Us: Arabianberry linked me from DeviantART
Any Questions: nope
[ `ABOUT THE IMAGES! ]
Experience: 3 or 4 years and dozens of pictures
Program: Adobe Photoshop CS3, Wacom Tablet
Have You Worked Anywhere Else? If So, Where?: Everywhere I've roleplayed: Wild Dreams, Wild Dreams 2, Windsong Wolves, and Eventide Moor
Website/Gallery: my DeviantART gallery
Which Images You Will Be Working With: I prefer equine, but I also can do canine. I've never tried feline before.
Your Style: My style is a realistic setting of a horse merged into porportional background. After that the colors, textures, composition, and text create much of the artistic quality. I also create some images that look almost like printmaking with many layers of images arranged together.
2+ Cutting Examples: One without smudging and one with smudging. More is always welcomed. -Unblurred -Unblurred and Blurred -Blurred -Unblurred, cutting reference for body only
5+ Completed Personalized Pictures: *The small size is because of the size limit of images at the forums these were created for. 1.2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
2+ Examples Of Best Colorizing & Blending: Show us how you can change the color of something into another color, and how well you can blend images together. 1. 2. 3. 4. (Work in Progress) -CS2 2006: before , after -From greyscale graphite to color: before , after
Quiz Questions:
1.) Can you use images off of www.flickr.com? If so what’s the proper etiquette to use images from there? Answer: Yes, if proper credit is given, such as a link and name. Do not use an image where the user has specified that they do not want it used. 2.) Are all images from www.DeviantART.com available to a personalizer’s use? Explain why not if you answer no. Answer: Definitely not! Follow the rules of stock providers and for images that don't have rules given, ask for permission; most users are happy to grant it. After use, credit with a link and a name. 3.) Will you be able to fill at least 2 orders a month here at Imagine That? Answer: Yes

AH OK. Now grading app. Or so to speak. You tend to cut hooves and a few body parts a bit close. But, Im not finding there too noticeable in the ending picture. Be careful though. There is another issues, its a biggie. You tend to cut horses and no blend them into the backgrounds or place them in them. They seems to be always IN FRONT and BEFORE the background. As not to say this affect doesn't look nice on some images, using this on all images gets to be...Uh...repetitive and doesn't convey realism. Overall I'm finding that the horses don't look like they belong in the background and that they are disconnected. Then there is the repetitiveness in pose and actions. Most seem to be running or trotting, or some form of walking motion. Mostly, facing right. Not sure what to say about that. But here are the ups. You know how to colorize as far as Im concerned. You cut well. And you can change hair as to whim as well. And I know you have a wide knowledge of effects and so forth. These are important skills and YOU HAS THEM. :3 Im gong to put u on a 2 week trial sort of thing. Its basically, in the next two weeks you are a personalizeR, so you can see whats its like and also prove to us you can spit out some pretty stuff. If it doesnt go well for whatever reason: YOU CAN RE-APPLY AT ANY TIME. Your art is very skilled and lovely though. :> <3 I recently deleted the artist board, i was the only artist and I really don't know how to draw horses haha. If your interested in being an artist [PM ME].

Thanks! I'll definitely keep your pointers in mind; I hadn't noticed the facing right thing, I tend to do that with drawings as well. XD
So as far as a two week trial, is there a specific number of new images that I should make?

I'm moving this to archives because this application, and the user have been inactive for over a month.
