let's just get this straight, I have no tablet D: working on this little piece, that mane almost killed me, its a really really new style of mane and tail for me, so bare with me for a moment. first I cut out the horse, smudged his body. then I cut off his tail, saving just the bone of the tail, which I cut in half, rejoined, transformed, etc. just so I would have the base bone of the tail for guidance. then did the tail, adding highlights. then I quickly drew on an eye and the tear. then i cut up the head, and cut off the top of the neck. then i moved the horses left ear around, making it fit in with the new forelock I was about to put in. new forelock, new mane. then I added the horn, changed its color from blue to orange, added the glow. then I faded in a horse skull, can you see this, I think I made it too faint XDD then I added scars on its face, (three on it's nose, some more near the tear, then one on its leg.)
and that is what I did, obviously have to add it to a background and I'm going to add like... a lens flare or something to the tip of its horn, I'm contemplating adding wings, so anyone see anything I can improve on... and what do you think about having wings? EDIT would help if I added a link, heh ^^;

The cut is a bit off. but whatever. I'll be fine. The mane hair is too thick. Regardless of tablet or not, make the brush size smaller. Do more strokes. should look great. He really does look plastic. So good job there. Also, the hair slips over the ears im not sure if that was meant to be but just erasing it would work. consider using a texture over the horn, like concrete, something maybe with a bit of a rough touch.

thank you! I've put a concrete texture over the horn set on "overlay" it looks a lot better. I'll try and make the hair thinner, though I'm too lazy to re-do the whole thing. I'll keep this in mind for my next manip. also I erased the hair in front of the ears, lol wasn't meant to be there. thank you muchly zombie ^^ when I get a little further along I might post another wip or just show you the finished thing, and then would you hopefully be able to give me some more criticism, because I am freaking eager to learn :hugs: [/blockquote]

This is absolutely beautiful! Really, the only thing I see is the hole where you have the horn over the mane. It looks a bit unnatural; I would draw some loose strands over it to make the circle look a bit more organic.
